Session 15 - Incursion of the First
General Summary
Alerted to the fact that the First World had begun to bleed into the nearby jungle, the Errants will be continuing to the heart of that bleed to stop it before the bleed becomes an incursion that leaves both realms destroyed in the wake of the WOTCH event.
The Jungle Errants began today still at the site of their previous battle, a blood soaked battleground which had been infested by a dangerous carnivorous plants.
Incursion of the First
The group headed toward the site of an odd, new structure: a small village that looks as if it were lifted from the Feywild, but was completely devoid of life. At least, that's what they thought. It was not quite as uninhabited as they initially feared. First, then ran into a fellow adventurer who helped Jungle Errant Hospital, a skilled gunman by the name of Deekin!
Deekin had also noticed the strange village and was exploring it to see if there were any useful materials for the alchemists to turn into medicines for the hospital. They were also approached by a large shambling vine.
However, instead of just attacking the poor creature, the group communicated with it and found it to be something of a merchant. Several members of the group were able to successfully barter for objects from it, and the creature seemed pleased with what it received from the party. This included being magicked by the resident runeswoman who struck it with an effect that increased its size to huge. This done, the Drainberry Bush -- who the party has taken to calling Verne -- headed off toward Urveth to do additional trades with the people there.
Alien Flowers of DOOM
Continuing to search the village they came upon what they did not realize was the lynchpin holding the Feywild Incursion open, a terrifyingly powerful and aggressively hostile plant known as a Moonflower!
Threatening to swallow them all whole, it DID succeed in swallowing Cadok briefly. However, the efforts of the group allowed them to take down this frightening flower and plump the depths of its guts for a powerful material with which to craft, as well as remnants from what the group assumes are its many previous meals.
No one was prepared for what happened next, however; the village, no longer bound by the life force of the Moonflower, snapped through the planes and attached to the most powerfully bound location nearby: the hospital. And so, this unnamed Feywild village has been transplanted right behind Jungle Errant Hospital.
