Hatred and Hubris: Collected historical notes on the dreaded Clockwork Harp

A forward from the publisher tucked into the first chapter : The views and opinions expressed within this book are merely conjecture, we at the publishing guild have a policy of neutrality about politics in general. If Werkenhotep, or as he is more commonly known nowadays as Clockwerken intends to file a complaint about our client's book in person, he can discuss it with our solicitors. As this book is the most factual account of a rumoured serial killer, it is not advised for anyone under the age of 18 or the squeamish and ill-humoured.   A symbol showing a brown haired and red eyed Harp split between an organic form and a grey robotic form with yellow eyes covers the front page and the cover is showing several different dates in the past, garnished with an ice blue heart and a mirror symbol for pride. It was written by the Harp historian Vizarra Eyeflap and her usual non-confrontation policy has been discarded for a more analytical writing style, showing the dates before the Empire involving what few records remain that we are struggling to translate, his rumoured encounter with Tiresia the Matriarch shortly after she returned from the Downside and eventual descent into immortality seeking,, heresy including dark magic, becoming a robot and his fated death at the Cooperel Cur clan. The extracts range from traveling scribes, The Last Emperor and Tiresia Tithis's personal encounters before a battle, the Highwing Remnants banishing him for dark magic and rejecting the Scribes and Sky mantras, along with the Cooperel clan's recounts of his obsession and some of his former minions.   Several nobles has expressed concern about the content, which luckily the narrator has taken note of and put up one of the first content warnings, for precisely what they took umbrage to.

Purpose

To warn people of the sins of hatred and pride. Vizarra created it in response to the slanderous rumours that he was a Scribe's ally as Clockwerken is largely seen as a heretic by most Harps. Also to provide a non biased account of how his existence impacted the world of Pyre.
