Life Priorities and Why I Can't Agree to Twitter's New ToS as a Writer
It's been too long away from World-Building. I have been caught in one of those "flung from thing-to-thing" that would see time move faster than a thunder-whirl around the Shan da San.
Anyway, I'll try to keep this short:
Twitter
As of today, I have deactivated my FJ_Brodie Twitter account because I cannot agree to their new Terms of Service as a writer. Specifically:

Life
I am, frankly, not getting enough time to write. I am not happy about that, so I need to make room to write. Even if it's just one dedicated day/week, that's an improvement on where I am right now. For some reason, I have 40 WA notifications which freaks me out (like, what did I do wrong, for example?!). But I intend to, and must, get back into writing. I miss being in my world as well as the ones I inhabit for my main blog and the real one."You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license (with the right to sublicense) to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such Content* in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed"* where "Content" refers to anything I put up on Twitter. As a writer I cannot agree that it is okay for Twitter to take my writing, copy it, reproduce it, adapt it and modify it. WorldAnvil honours creators' ownership of their writing. Twitter's new ToS' do not. There are other terms I take issue with, but this is the one most relevant to my writing.
If you happened to be following FJ_Brodie on the Bird Site, please consider following me - or my world as WorldAnvil will now be my primary method of communicating about my writing.
I will also endeavour now to post updates from Savàni onto https://ko-fi.com/fj_brodie - where you can purely follow, without any expectation or presumption of any coffee-buying.
Some may disagree with my interpretation and that is fine. But, from now on, the only blue bird that matters in my world now is the Aszilmìsi.
Welcome back. Hope you get some writing done again. :) Also: I was 5 minutes on twitter this week and then I was fed up already.
Hahah, thanks. And yeah, I've blocked out a day and a half next week, so we'll see how that goes.
