The general usage if psionic capabilities is forbidden by the general populace. Please report any and all psionic activity to your local PRD facility so that safety can be restored to the area. Do not engage with Psions. Do not attempt to learn about Psions. Psions are not people. If one believes themselves to be awakening psionic abilities they are to turn themselves in immediately, for the safety of themselves and those around them. Always stay vigilant.   The Psionics Research Division of The Federation of Ekan States regulates the usage and learning of all mental-based supernatural abilities, commonly referred to as Psionics. These abilities are considered by the FES government to be dangerous to the general stability of the country. The PRD employs numerous highly trained Psions of their own in order to facilitate the capture of Rogue Psions. These professionals are highly monitored and regulated so as to not cause danger to the general public. The PRD do not consider Psions to be people and treat them as such.   The Federation of Ekan States exists in a near future planet covered by mega cities, monitored closely by the government, and roamed by people with powerful psychic abilities known as Psions. The average Psion can take a few bullets and maybe lift a car, but a few hold the power to raze entire continents. Most countries of the world view Psions as a threat to their own power and either ruthlessly execute them or turn them against each other to keep themselves occupied. Life for the average citizen is perhaps a bit better than our own. Government surveillance is worse than modern day, but not to the level of something like 1984. Few would consider living in the FES a dystopia, but any display of psychic abilities can end someones normal life, becoming forced either into a specially made prison or into servitude for the PRD. Propaganda has led most normal citizens to consider Psions to be inhuman, and deserving of anything that happens to them.
