The Crown of Feathers

The crown of the king of Arcadia and the Emperor of the Magistrate Empire.   From a distance they appear as if it is a simple copper laurel, they are however a series of phoenix feathers instead of plants leaves. It was the crown of the founder and first king of Arcadia forged when he first took the title of king. It has not changed much sense those ancient days, some emperors have added to it and others have removed parts of it, however the base circlet has never been changed, but not due to lack of effort. While the crown easily accepts additions to the original circlet, the bases refused to be changed or broken. The common belief go to its origins and the legend that it was forged by dipping phoenix feathers into molten copper. Scholars say thusly that it bonded the natural immortality into the metal. The religious of the eternal flame church often think that this is evidence of divine blessing.

Significance

It is often seen as a symbol of pride for the people of Acadia. They believe that represents the humble beginnings of their city state a little more than those fleeing war, merchants, and religious pilgrims. It is a remembrance of the fact that is was a simple nomad who made himself into a boy king in defiance of others. It is the mark that simple people became the liberators and unifier of much of the world.   It is also marked as a symbol of the immortality of the empire, given that the symbol of the highest office in all the empire is a circlet forged with the feathers of an immortal creature.
