Kedine

"Oh my god, she's so pretty! I love her! And she's so soft and snuggly!"
— Another daughter

Lively on Land

Much like their suline cousins, kedines are adept at moving around in the water, however, their natural environment is on land. They share the same furred scales as the suline, though with a lavender colour instead of blue. Their ears are long and point to the rear of their heads, and their eyes are a vibrant blue. While they lack the tendrils that give the suline their ability to sense creatures and objects underwater, the fur covering their scales is naturally resistant to the elements, allowing them to venture almost anywhere on land without much danger.   They are able to hold their breath for up to an hour in water, so they make excellent swimmers, and love to play in water with other kedines or people. You can often find them sunbathing on beaches, soaking up the warmth of the sun. Unlike suline who are usually solitary creatures, kedines have just as much a need for social interaction and companionship as humans do and often seek it out.

Affection All Around

Kedines are very affectionate and have a habit of hugging you whenever they get the chance. They love humans, especially children, and will follow them around all day to make sure that no harm comes to their favorite playmate. Kedines are intelligent creatures who can understand human speech from an early age and even talk back once in a while. Some of them see themselves as the guardians of a particular town or stretch of coastline, and will do everything to make sure they know every inch of it.   Should one of them adopt you as their family, they will become very protective of you, especially your children. If a child should wander too far away from home, the kedine will go out and search for them until they find them again. These large, loving cats can also be quite sneaky, especially if they sense danger, and will sometimes pretend to sleep or play dead in order to catch the intruders by surprise.

These cats are so precious!!! <3 You know what I'm going to say... gimme gimme gimme! Do they let their cubs close to human children, so they can play together at an early age?   Keep up the good work! :D

There's no reason for them not to unless you're mean to them!

I love the idea that these get quite protective, especially of human children. I bet they make great companions. :D
