Freyhill
Known simply as Freyhill, this quaint area is peaceful, resting quietly beside the Lily Lake.
Hedged in secrecy
Throughout the years, the true purpose of Freyhill has grown clouded and overshadowed. The small village has hidden something for millennia, a secret known only to the residents and few others. The village itself is no more than a few dozen homes and with almost as many other buildings, like a smithy, ferrier, and a tavern. Freyhill lives off grain, fruit and vegetables that they grow themselves or trade for from the other towns that surround Lily Lake, such as Merrowmoor and Tivethax. Buried underneath Freyhill is a cavern, a cavern that was discovered early in the history of Bihulling. It was built and developed over time by the inhabitants as a place they could go in times of peril, a place to hide from any foe that might wish them harm. The Hidden
The cavern holds many small buildings for families, more than the town above it, and has a small river for clean water, cleverly diverted from the lake through aqueducts. The entire cavern is lit by luminous moss that grows along the rock walls, as well as any flames from torches, fires and lanterns. The cavern also holds an underground farm capable of sustaining the entire town for years to come, if needed. The Hallmark
None currently living know why the cavern at Freyhill was constructed as it was, though it is thought that the residents of Freyhill know what the purpose of the cavern is and that a time is approaching where it must be utilized to its greatest extent. Why it was built at Freyhill and not someplace else is uncertain, but the cavern lies waiting for its residents to come home.

I love the idea of a doomsday shelter in fantasy! I'm assuming, though, that there is fresh air supply from the outside, if there's so many torches? How would they replace those torches in the worst case scenario? Are there resin-producing trees growing as well? And what grain is capable of growing in those light conditions? Is it a special grain? Do they eat it as well before the new harvest from underground comes in? Does it maybe feature in special dishes that are peculiar in this town? So many questions!
