Erratum Wells
"From the beginning of the world, there were mistakes made along the way. Most by mortals, some by gods. The E'e'tumba people of Kubicha have called these "amaphutha zezwe""
The Mind of the Mantle
Seen to some as the pockets of the world that have no place in existing, the Erratum Wells are manifestations of uncertain and chaotic energies with in the mantle of Pronathea. While some of these areas are simply areas of intense magical energies, causing any spells or magic items to become supercharged, others go against the current understanding of physics and magic. First discovered by hunters of the N'weiki tribe who encountered a pocket of timeless space and emerged seemingly only minutes later to find several hundred years had passed, these Wells are regarded as extraordinarily dangerous and their entrances are often masked by unseen places, as well as being nearly constantly shifting. Due to their shifting nature, the precise locations of these Wells aren't always known, but they usually operate in a cycle. Because of this, some members of the Magisterium are appointed yearly to ensure their almanacs are tracking any shifts in their movements. While shifts aren't common, they have happened during periods of intense magical surges, such as when a new Keeper is chosen nearby. The Core of Creation
While popular mythology has attributed these Wells to errors in creation, there are some who believe that these pockets of uncertainty are, in fact, remnants of an event. Possibly even more concerning, there are others who believe they are the precursor to an event yet to come.

I love how I read most of the article calmly and then that very last sentence came and made it really unsettling. A good read about a creative concept of chaos! I have to ask: Are they -literally- wells? The header image makes me think they are more like barely visible energies that float around. How does one know "yes, this is one of the pockets"? DO people know this or do they enter them always by accident?
By a definition of the word "well", yes. By most, no. Sometimes the pathway to one of the Wells have this sort of electric energy to them, like a light electrical current passing through you. It's not always that this happens, though.
I see! Thanks for the explanation :)
