Currency of the Eight Lands
The value attributed to slices of metal
Worth its weight
While each of the Eight Lands has seen a rapid standardization in the minting and production of their coins and promissory notes, many of them are used interchangeably across the Eight Lands. They all hold their own unique names, designs, and exchange rates between them, with all but the most remote shopkeepers keeping a document nearby that notes the different quantities of a coin that makes up another. One Mans Treasure
Each capital of the Eight Lands holds their treasury in different ways. For instance, the treasury in Turnhaven is under high guard and is held on a small sandbar that barely qualifies as an island with a building of waterproof solid stone set upon it. The entrance floods over in intense swells, but the cellar under the island never floods and holds strong in even the worst weather.Exchange of the Cost
