Pollux Zero-G Fun Park and Resort

Mooooom, I wanna go to Pollux for my birthday!
— Tom Breuer (5), expects too much.
The Pollux Zero-G Fun Park and Resort (or just "Pollux" for short) is the largest theme park in space. Some others have been built over the years, but none can reach it in size. Pollux is entirely covering the surface of Polydeuces, a minor moon of Saturn. It is about 25 square kilometers in area, rivaling even the larger theme parks on Earth.   About half of the park's area is taken up by visitor accomodation. Since the moon has no significant surface gravity to speak of, the various hotels are constructed as habitation rings not unlike those of space stations and larger interplanetary vessels, which generate rotational gravity for the guests. Different buildings generate different amounts, so as to cater to guests from all over the Sol system.   Many attractions play with gravity. Some emulate the surface of planets. For example, one of the more recent attractions is a ride through dioramas of the planets of Alpha Centauri, with the gravity changing accordingly. Other attractions simply let visitors enjoy microgravity, such as large rooms with padded walls and a big tangle of ropes and monkey bars to fly around in. One of the big attractions of the park is an array of no less then 63 C-Ball arenas, letting guests experience the sport they otherwise can only see on TV.   Another big name attraction of the park are the 6X-Pods, which in a way are the spacecraft equivalent of bumper cars. They are roughly spherical pods, just large enough to fit a single person. Two joysticks control an array of low power cold gas thrusters, which let guests zip around a large arena and, of course, bump into one another.   There is also a variety of more traditional attractions such as merry-go-rounds and rollercoasters. The latter differ from their planetary counterparts in some way. Firstly, in the absence of gravity, they are accelerated by catapults instead of a drop. They focus more on loops, winding tracks and g-forces, as the stomach dropping feeling of temporary weightlessness that is an appeal of rollercoasters within a gravity well is constantly experienced by visitors anyway.   Fun fact: Pollux Zero-G Fun Park and Resort is the single largest consumer of anti space sickness pills.
