Oasis Hot Springs

The Oasis Hot Springs is a small building with multiple rooms and an allotted outside space located close to the central oasis that Ruketha has been built around. This building is easily accessible from the the main strip between the southern and northern ports, as well as the market and trading district. Small bamboo doors on an unassuming red-sandstone wall lead to a fairly bland interior containing a wooden desk and more doors leading further within. What this building contains however is separate steam rooms and rooms with small pools for individuals with water sourced from the oasis. In addition to these rooms is a store room with herbs and mixes which would make some of the most equipped apothecary's jealous. Out the back of the building is a small fenced off area of the Oasis with long desert bamboo grown all around to allow privacy of those bathing.

Purpose / Function

The Oasis Hot Springs, rather than just being used as a leisure facility for those with time and influence to do so, is in fact used to heal those wounded and weary. The oasis waters; when rested in, have been noted to to relax the muscles and aid in the restoration of wounds or illnesses within. These properties of the waters have been observed and this building erected to allow those with severe injuries to be treated in a more specialist manner. Herbs or tonics are administered to the pools to assist in the healing properties of the oasis waters. Alternatively in the steam rooms incense or herbs are burned to assist with illnesses nesting within the body.
The fenced off area around the back of the building is used for similar purposes, but is also available to be used by any willing to contribute to the running of the building, be it in physical labour; by tending to the patients or cleaning the rooms, gifts of valuable objects, herbs to assist in healing or more specialist or magical matters.
