Jin Twilight Corundum

Jin Twilight Corundum (a.k.a. Volgrynth)

First among the Grynth and leader in all but name, Twilight's seat at Volmunt is eternal. The Jin, called so not for being a literal ruler but for being the foremost among the people under the mountain, has gems of shifting colour for eyes and skin of hardest metal. Their voice is that of the mountain, and their words shake the earth around them. None other of their kind commands such presence.

Personal history

When Volmunt was but a youthful mountain, first among its peers, it saw the first humans spread around its roots and felt envy for their livelihoods. As years passed the depths of the earth beneath it ground and strained, forging stone, metal and gems in a poor imitation of these two-legged creatures. The first of these came in a time of twilight, and so the first of the Grynth were named. Volgrynth was lonely, yet surrounded by other crystals and metallic elements, and so built others in likeness of themselves. Yet they did not come to life like them.
Twilight knew then, that they must leave the deepness beneath Volmunt to explore and find what was missing, for their need of company was nearly all-encompassing. They did not need to travel far, for Volmunt had siblings all about it, and beneath each nearby mountain they found a pair of gems that they knew were just what they needed. After collecting four pairs, they returned and embedded these Anam in the peers they'd built before. And one by one they came to life and were named much like Twilight.
Soon after, they collectively decided to collect even more of these Anam to bring the gift of life to a whole community of Grynth, so they spread to through the Toils in search of all they cound find.
