Vienna's Yard
A small, extremely rundown Pub in the Harbour District. People say, that back in the day it was a pretty rutheless place, with bar fights on a daily basis, but today you can't quite imagine something like this; if the Legends are true, the Barkeeper, Holger, has an actual Shotgun below the counter. The ceiling of the bar is plastered with stolen traffic signs and the floor is always kind of sticky. The atmosphere is dark, but somehow homely. It always reeks like cigarette butts, which can be found in every corner. Obverse the counter is an ancient jukebox, blinking in shiny, colourful lights, blasting loud music, songs from your youth. Well, not actually *your* youth, but you came here often when you were younger.
The small-ish main room is made even smaller by a broken billiard table. If you want to cross the room, you have to move around it. It's once green surface is now brown-ish and stained with dirt ages old from questionable sources. Myths say, if you had sex on this table all drinks this night would be on the house.
On the far side of the room there is still christmas decorations hanging. From more than five years ago. Also there is a mysterious door. Nobody ever used it, but it's not closed.
On the wall next to one of the tables is an old telephone hanging. It's out of order, but constanlty used as a prop for jokes.
ADVICE: Don't order anything that could be served in a glass, only drink from bottles!
Sometimes there are live bands coming from all over the continent. Mostly underground hardcore punk and the likes, but sometimes a singer songwriter too. None of them are popular though.
Purpose / Function
Leizure, drinking, live music, bar brawling
History
The S'yard looks like it doesn't belong in the place where it stands, which is quite true. It's old, rundown, decrepit and ugly, surrounded by modern, new and shiny buildings.
This is, because everything that once stood here was teared down by a big logistics company 5 years ago. But the ownership of the S'yard was very complicated and nobody could disseize Holger, so the S'Yard was never sold and thus never bulldozed. Holger says he would never sell this old shack, but who knows what will happen if he is no more.
