Godpoachers

Feared, Hated

The Iekursi revere the dragons that live between their scattered settlements. Seen as a sign of strength and good luck, the dragons living in the world are considered descendants of the creators: the first life in the world. As such, the Iekursi are indirect descendants of the creators' children. Naturally, there are those who do not believe in such "superstitions" and merely see the dragons as prey. Those that would dare to kill these majestic creatures are known as Godpoachers.
"It ain't easy, but its a might like fishin'—y'just gotta hit 'em in the underbelly a few times and pull 'em down. That or blast holes in their wings"
- M'atog, Veteran Godpoacher
Despite the Godpoachers being made up of Iekursi, they are seen as enemies of their people as they have made a sport out of killing creatures of worship. Unsurprisingly, the poachers have plenty of people who have interest in buying dragon products: scales, bones, hide, eyes, meat, and more.

Ruthless Killers

Godpoachers are typically those who have already been shunned by Iekursi society. Driven by spite and a need to survive, they join up with poaching teams. They have no particular issue with killing others of their kind that would get in their way whilst hunting dragons either.

Infamous & Rich

Many of the Godpoachers strike it rich by selling their kills to merchants, other races (such as humans), and other poachers for an incredibly high price. Killing a dragon is not an easy task, so those that are able to kill just one of the massive creatures are regarded as incredibly successful. Those that claim multiple dragons are seen as legends to some and great villains to others.
