Chalice of the Creators

Discovery

During the time of the salt, each of the creators drank from chalices that were said to be the very vessels that would eventually create life itself. It was said that some were filled with the humors that are found within living creatures' bodies whilst others were filled with the salty water of the sea, and so on. Only one such cup has been discovered by humanity. Hundreds of years ago while exploring a cave within the northern reaches of the High Plain, a group of humans found a massive chamber seemingly carved to account for beings the height of hills.
"It was said to be one of the earliest sites of inspiration that lead to the Andryte's sacred books despite the fact the original scholars had no way of translating the ancient script that was scribed all over the walls and the Chalice itself."
Hieronymus, Philosopher
For centuries scholars and philosophers alike have questioned the Andrytes on the actual origin of the Chalice of the Creators. Many critics argued that, despite being quite large, the cup itself was nowhere near large enough to house the entirety of life's fluids within it, as it was only two stories in height. Scholars suggest that earlier humankind crafted such an artifact to use as a sacrificial vessel to the pagan gods that they worshipped.

Protectors of the Chalice.

Many of those who travel to the Chalice bathe within the water regularly changed by those that protect this ancient and sacred place. The chamber is large enough for hundreds of humans to comfortably fit inside and the cup itself can comfortably hold two dozen or so at once. As such, the protectors have erected simple homes within, creating a small yet lively town about the artifact. The Protectors of the Chalice are considered a sub-sect of the Andryte faith. However, the Protectors do not see it this way. They hold entirely different beliefs than those scribed within the newer interpretations of the tomes of the Mother and even have their own, newer versions.
