Korenwall, the once great seat of a powerful kingdom, now stands as a testament to a people in decline. Despite the city's past glory, there is a palpable sense of tension in the air, as the wealthy cling to their marble structures and the poor struggle to make ends meet. The sea breeze carries the sound of clanging armor as soldiers patrol the streets, a reminder of Korenwall's military might in days gone by. The harbor bustles with activity, as merchants haggle over goods and sailors bustle about their work. Although no longer the capital of Korenmier, Korenwall still holds a special place in the hearts of its people as the former capital of a once-great kingdom. The city's history is etched into its architecture, with the grand palace of the former ruling monarch now serving as a museum to a bygone era. Yet even as Korenwall looks to the past, it also faces the future, with its bustling trade and strategic location on the coast of the Burning Sea. The sun beats down on the city, casting long shadows in the afternoon light. For those who call Korenwall home, it is a place of both pride and hardship, a city that has weathered the storms of war and the winds of change.  

History and Culture

  Korenwall was once the seat of a powerful kingdom that ruled over the surrounding regions, and was also the capital city of the kingdom. However, after the last war and the loss of great amounts of their territory, the capital was moved to New Kronmyr to be strategically more defensible. The people of Korenwall are proud of their military heritage and the powerful heavy armor infantry that once dominated battlefields. The political district of Korenwall is known for its impressive marble structures, including the palace of the former ruling monarch. There is a strong sense of intolerance towards beggars and the homeless in the streets, with many of them being rounded up and forced to leave the city.  

Economy and Industry

  The main industry in Korenwall is trade, with the city being a major hub for goods coming in and out of the Burning Sea. There is also a strong military presence in the city, with soldiers being a common sight in the streets. Due to the decline of the kingdom, the economy has suffered, with many people struggling to make ends meet.

The population of Korenwall is diverse, with people from all over Korenmier and the Burning Sea coming to the city to trade and find work. There is a strong class divide, with the wealthy living closer to the city center and the poor living further out. The city is known for its intolerance towards beggars and the homeless, with many being rounded up and forced to leave the city.

Korenwall is no longer the capital city of the nation of Korenmier, but it still holds a special place in the hearts of the people as the former capital of the kingdom. The nation of Korenmier is ruled by a monarchy, with the current monarch being King Edric who resides in New Kronmyr. The political district of Korenwall is now mostly symbolic, with the former palace of the ruling monarch serving as a museum.

Infrastructure

The city has a well-developed harbor, with a large port and many docks for ships to unload and load goods. There are also several major roads that connect Korenwall to other cities and towns in Korenmier. The city has a strong military presence, with a large barracks and training grounds for soldiers.

Geography

Korenwall is located on the coast of the Burning Sea, a body of water known for its warm and sometimes scorching temperatures. The city is built on flat terrain that slopes gently towards the sea, with the wealthier districts located closer to the city center and the poorer districts further out.
