Crafting

Written by DinnBismarck

Players can craft new items from raw materials so long as they have the proper tools, time, and skills required.
For every day of downtime you spend crafting, you can craft one or more items with a total market value not exceeding 10amm/per 5 player levels, and you must expend raw materials, worth half of the market value of the item. For example, a suit of plate armor which has a market value of 1500amm will take 150 days to craft by yourself at levels 1-5.
The quality of the item depends on a 1d20 roll using on of several stat modifiers, depending on the item being crafted (Sword=Strength, Clothes=Dexterity, etc). A roll of 4 or under will result in a lowered price by 10%, while a 5-18 is of normal quality, and 19 and up results in a +1 non-magical item.
Most items, including all basic items, can be made from various types of materials, and can often use multiple types of material per result. (A crossbow will require a type of wood, a type of metal, and a type of cord) When determining a finished item's hardness, you should generally use the hardness of the most common material in the item, though in some cases you could mark different parts of the item as having separate hardness ratings, if different parts may be targeted for sundering battle.

Item crafting modifiers:

Swords/Greatswords/Axes/Scythes/Hammers/Maces/Shields/Helms/Heavy Armor = Strength
Daggers/Knifes/Caster Blades/Clothes/Shoes/Boots/Medium Armor = Dexterity
Spears/Whips/Orbs/Bows/Slingshots/Gloves/Claws/Physical Throwing items = Wisdom
Staffs/Crossbows/Guns/Light Armor/Splash Throwing Items = Intelligence
