Republic of Leon

“Ambition, Independence, Profit”


The republic of Leon is led by the leaders of the various trade guilds. They have organized into a form of republic and each represent their guilds in discussion and debate. To facilitate running the Kingdom as a whole a guild leader is voted in to act as king or queen. The nation is led by an elected individual elected to the position by the conglomerate of trading companies operating within the republic.

Public Agenda

On the surface the guilds preach unity and national ambition as a proud republic. It is well known that under the thinly veiled talk of unity each guild only really looks out for their own interests.


The republic controls a large trade network and provides the war effort with any manner of material that might be required. A large iron mine is situated within the borders of the republic and is run by one of the larger guilds operating within the area.


Located around an arid oasis and a well traveled road. The city had been reestablished from the skeleton of the previous kingdom after the 3rd crusade had retaken control of Summerwind. A wealthy nobleman by the name of Rainier "the Poet" who had funded the army essential in the retaking of the city re-founded it as a merchant republic bringing in his mercantile contacts to rebuild the ravaged land.

Demography and Population

The population of the Republic is a mix of all races, each man and woman seeking fortune through commerce and enterprise.


The republic directly borders the Principality of Dunrath to the north, The Wastes, and the swampy land to the east.


The Republics only standing force belonging to the state are the Whitecloaks. Though they are decently trained and well equipped, the "cloaks" mostly work as anti-corruption and liaison to the various armed forces belonging to the Guilds.   The bulk of armed men and women belong to the Guilds. Each Guild operates their own security forces and each one is fairly distinct from the next, not only in heraldry but in training and equipment.

Trade & Transport

Trade is the most profitable business for the Republic. Their merchantmen range across the world’s oceans, and the wealth of the world passes through this port. Many of the guilds operate halls in citys and ports around the world, directing and controlling trade across multiple continents.
