Post Resurgence Earth
A resurgence of Magic has created a calamity that has wiped out modern society. Humanity was brought to it's near extinction and the creatures of the old myths have returned. Society had effectively reset to the proverbial beginning.
600 years later the world has changed. The very landscape is substantially different from the way is now. Society is now filled with magic and new nations have formed on the bones of the old civilizations.
The strongest of these nations is the Youkai Kingdom, a force that has gained control of most of the North American continent. Along side them in power is the African Union, a united alliance of African nations that survived and thrived during the Resurgence.
The rest of the world is strange and unknown. A veritable blank canvas that the existing nations seek to paint their own visions of the future upon it.
In this world post Resurgence there are many things to explore and see. The new world is a vast and harrowing place.
