Post Apocalyptic America

The year is 2055 in the U.S. War, famine and disease spread over the world. Economies collapse and the world is on the brink of anarchy. The 3rd World War is in full effect. Germany has risen again to conquer Europe with Mexico and Vietnam as close allies known as The Axis Confederacy. America and the est of Europe fight against The Axis Confederacy and are known as The Nations of the Oracle. During this war a plague known as Ictus Cavum (Hollow Trauma) or better known by it's common name "Forsaken Disease". Ictus Cavum was created by The Axis Confederacy as a biological weapon to weaken the European governments. Ictus Cavum eventually began to spread outside of Europe and across the sea into most of Asia and North and South America.   Ictus Cavum is a disease that is disguised as a common flu at first but then develops into a life threatening g disease that degrades the mental state of the inflicted. The leading pharmaceutical company known as Supervision Corp. was commissioned by the government to develop a cure. During testing Supervision Corp. developed a chemical called Exokine which alters the exterior of an organism infected with Ictus Cavum and causes the disease to accelerate and induces high levels of pain. The pain causes the patient to become very aggressive and exhibit violent behaviors. Those inflicted with Ictus Cavum and exposed to Exokine are altered physically in extreme ways often looking like "Abominations of Flesh" but some are able to handle the mixture of Ictus Cavum and Exokine and become what Supervision Corp. calls "Enigmas". Enigmas are shown to have extraordinary resistance and enough strength to crush a cinder block in their palms. Some Enigmas don't show their aggressive behavior and are able to pick and choose their targets if they have any.   Towards the end of the 3rd World War Supervision Corp. suggested to use an Enigma named Abditus or Enigma 173-APEX against invading forces. As an act of self preservation Supervision Corp. was given permission to release Abditus. Abditus was chosen because she showed great control over her Enigma form and was even shown to know of her human past and even speak basic English. Abditus was shown to be an extraordinary predator. Abditus betrayed Supervision Corp and let loose other Enigmas during her final rampage. Enigmas soon began to spread outside of the U.S.   An Enigma who calls himself Recidivus possessed the unique ability to inject prey with a combination of Exokine and Ictus Cavum simultaneously creating a new strand of Ictus Cavum called Exo-Cavum. Recidivus was able to do this by stabbing his prey with a long lance like appendage which contained Exo-Cavum and injected it into prey like snake venom. Thus began the end of 2055 and ushered a new age. An age where humans were no longer the apex predator and humans would now live in fear of Enigmas who have lost their humanity.
