The Three Kingdom Alliance

Structure

The Three Kingdom Alliance is made up of the three human-governed nations, who meet to discuss policy and to construct mutually beneficial laws. Leaders of these nations meet in Union Hall and its surrounding grounds, usually at the start of spring of the beginning of autumn. Their conversations are moderated by the Pactkeeper and recorded by a chronicler. It is also the chronicler's task to commission Union Stones that describe any new laws, or to replace ones that are now outdated or have been damaged.   Using stones to display vital legislation is a Morsk tradition that originates from before the formation of Oksal. Ever since its founding, Oksal has sent an Emissary on behalf of the Divine Prophet of Oksal to oversee negotiations. This Emissary, often with scant else to do, acts as messenger between the Alliance and Oksal.   The Kingdom of Camelot was the founder overall of this gathering, in the hope that unity could beat the unquestionable power of the mages. Though this tactic was successful, future relations began to disintegrate as its internal structure too began to crumble. Now, the Council of Camelan has little to show for influence, except perhaps its architecture and location.   Noravägen is the oldest of the nations in the Alliance, though it has a far less formal structure politically. The style of debate within the Alliance is taken from their culture, where they are used to many parties with conflicting interests speaking in the same place. They are also far more used to disagreement, though there has ben little cause to draw blades within the chambers of Union Hall. Though their contribution to the formation of the Alliance is understated, their ability to achieve calm in the most tense discussions shouldn't be undersold.

Public Agenda

They were established as an alliance against the far more prominent and powerful mages of Poraile. Now the war between the aether-gifted and other humans has ended, the Three Kingdoms act more as a diplomatic alliance than allies in battle. That being said, a portion of each nation's army is still devoted to forming the Unionist forces should future conflicts arise.    Their current aims are to ensure a common decency between the three nations, enforcing the rights of sentient races within their domains and common laws. After laws are agreed upon by the three nations, they are carved in stones, known as the Union Stones, for public display.
