Ameron Binkley is one of the most famous early magicians in Poneren history. His creation of lexology and the softening effect it has on magic makes him covered in history classes through the ages.
His love for Elina Bucknight and her role both in saving humanity from out-of-control magic and in Ameron's life have led to their relationship being a love story for all time.
The actual story, however, has been lost in the retellings and myths. According to myth, the pair overcame hardships and a world that was against them. Opposites in nearly every way, they never had a chance. His parents were scientists in a time when science was forbidden. Her father was a magician that hunted down and removed even the slightest hint of science. He was poor, she was wealthy. He loved magic, while she hid her desire to understand the universe in a way that only science could fill.
Yet, through it all, they found each other. The myths say that right before her death at the hands of a dark magician, they professed their undying love for each other and had just a short time together before she was ripped from him, causing a change in heart and bringing about the reconcillation of magic and science to the world.

They were great friends, relying on each other for companionship and helping each other with the mysteries of the world.
