After the defeat of the Kainga by four brave heroes from Drakenvald, they were unable to prevent a partial consumption, and the relative collapse of modern arcana. Though many lives were spared, magic has changed forever, starting a dark age of knowledge, and the re-discovery of geography and long forgotten magics.
