The Abyssal Realms
Upon a mortals death, one who is so vehemently evil, they find before them two paths. To one path, lies Infernium , the laws of which are said that you have the potential for rescue by Calpricis Aufor of the Sun should one no longer need to live in that realm. This is a realm of infinite torture and punishment should one deserve it however. On another path lies the endless pits of the Abyssal realms, where all demons arrive from, and participate in the blood war with devils on the uppermost layers. From here, one can expect the complete and utter destruction of their soul, be it in the form of being eaten by another devil, or being thrust into the ongoing bloodwar between the realms. There is a third path however that is not chosen by an individual spirit, but instead by the creatures who inhabbit it. If one looks up directly from the river styx, they see the tops of mountains pointing directly at them from above. Ashes from these mountains, pour out over the landscape, and if one looks closely enough, they see lava falling and pooling down from above, towards the base of the mountains. An impossibility, but still impracticality. This is the realm of Penitence, ruled by Yugoloths, and their mysterious ways.While the red-stained mouths of machine guns ring Across the infinite expanse of day; While red or green, before their posturing King, The massed battalions break and melt away;
And while a monstrous frenzy runs a course That makes of a thousand men a smoking pile- Poor fools! - dead, in summer, in the grass, On Nature's breast, who meant these men to smile;
There is a God, who smiles upon us through The gleam of gold, the incense-laden air, Who drowses in a cloud of murmured prayer,
And only wakes when weeping mothers bow Themselves in anguish, wrapped in old black shawls- And their last small coin into his coffer falls.
Arthur Rimbaud
Geography
Uppon entering the realm, any soul or traveller arrives at the river styx, which swirls its way throughout the abyssal realms on both the Endless Pits, and Infernium . This first layer is called Iramen, and encompasses the entire first layer save for the rest of Infernium. Above the styx, one can see, though it seems impossible to reach, the volcanoes of Penitence, which stretch upwards into infinity if one were to see through the red mists that make up the skyline of The Abyssal Realms.
Each individual realm is described in more detail in their own descriptions.
