Lucian McConnel was a freelance pilot for many years. In 3075, he was Hired by Twitch, Jinny Kerensky, Mr. Doctor, and Zhuk Chelovek in 3075 to fly them to Tiberius Alpha, a 6 day spike drill away. They arrived and were met by fighters. Some scavengers had beat them to the research station. Knowing that he had another 6 day spike drill ahead of him, Lucian decided to get some sleep on the ship. While he was asleep, Twitch's crew siphoned the fuel from their old ship, the Star of Vindi, and fueled up a ship that had been sitting on the research stations space dock, E1M1. He woke to the sound of E1M1 taking off. Realizing quickly that he had been abandoned, he jumped in one of the scavengers fighters and gave chase, but they escaped.
