Viharanya
A.k.a Mother of Storms, The Wind That Strips All Bone
Viharanya's Words (Godbound)
Viharanya is one of two major divinities within the Eltórián Bonelands. She is the Mother of Storms, the Wind of Destruction, the bones scoured clean by blasts of sand whipped up by the cutting winds. Her specific aspects are that of Sandstorms, Erosion, Undead and Remains, belonging to the greater domains of Death and Air. She represents the rampant destruction of these wastelands that the people fear, which is why she is considered the opposite of Vératya, and they are natural enemies. She has a particular draw to her however in that she offers people a different way to survive in this environment that appeals to the opportunistic. She taught the people how to employ necromancy in an effective manner, which they can then use as a free labor force that does not consume the scarce food and water available. This has allowed for the city of Viharanyavár to grow to a surprising size despite a relatively limited population. With fewer worshipers, she has had to rely on other methods of expanding her domain, such as raising considerable amounts of totems and monuments using the undead labor force. Due to her destructive nature, she is often mistaken for a war-like deity. This is not entirely true, as she is not particularly violent and her domain is one of natural death, not inflicted death. That being said, like most divinities she does not completely shy away from it either, and she has conquered and devoured weaker divinities on several occasions.

Hallow
Her hallow is one that required a difficult undertaking to discover for the first time, as it is placed on a steep plateau that rises from the eastern desert of the Bonelands. Here rests a gargantuan, vaguely draconic-looking skull with its maw open as if releasing a silent roar. It is an intimidating scene, but the plateau has turned out to be a very well-defensible position for the city.Appearance
When she appears to her followers, it is usually in the form of a woman floating in the center of a miniature sandstorm. She seldom adopts the same size as her followers, preferring to be seen from a distance as she towers over the plateaus or sandy dunes of the Bonelands. She also sometimes appears as a desert wyvern, one of her favored beasts, or as a variety of other reptilians if she wants to be more inconspicuous.Followers
Viharanya is not the most demanding of divinities in terms of the conduct she expects from her followers. She is fairly hands-off in what she asks for them, as long as they properly devote themselves to her she does not care much if they aid others or take advantage of them. As a result many of her worshipers are of a rather opportunistic sort, who use necromancy to advance their own wealth. Her priests try to counteract some of this behavior and the associated abuse of necromancy. They oversee that corpses receive their proper death rites and they are properly prepared and in good condition before being reanimated. They believe that proper respect should be shown to the dead before their bodies are put to work for eternity, but it also prevents the city from becoming an disease-ridden, rotting mess.Devotion
Those who devote themselves to a divinity are sometimes rewarded for it, especially when they perform extraordinary actions. Those who pay proper reverence to Viharanya by raising undead in her name, and putting them to work to raise monuments to her are rewarded with the power to control the necrotic energies of death. There is even a compassionate side to her, for she rewards those who ease another's deaths. She also rewards those who destroy her enemies. Those who do not heed her, or call upon the powers of death without doing so in her name will earn her scorn. Her blessings grant her faithful some control over the winds and the powers of death, and these strange energies flowing through them even change their bodies, making them more resilient and putting them slightly further from life in a sense. Her champions are resilient beacons of necrotic energy who hold power over the dead and people alike. Piety Rewards (D&D 5E)

Myths of Viharanya
Restful StormsThere is a place at the edge of Viharanya's domain that is plagued by extremely localized sandstorms all year round. It is said to be the resting place of the Saintess Samara Tisztí, her most favored champion. While the Saintess had never paid for a mausoleum of her own so that she may be spared resurrection, it is said that the divinity herself interfered. She placed her champion's body here to rest and threw up the storms so that she may rest here in peace and never be disturbed. Because to Viharanya, she was the one person who truly earned their rest.
The gods are wondrous, they provoke wonder. The gods are marvelous, they cause marvels. The gods are terrific, they inspire terror. And they do so with reason. No fury is greater than a divinity defied or tricked. For Viharanya this happened once, and exactly once. A band of musicians passed through during a festival in Viharanya's honor. They were wonderful and drew much attention, they were even allowed to play in front of the divinity herself. But when she offered them a reward, they were surprisingly modest in what they asked for. This caused her suspicion and she quietly alerted one of her saints, who quickly uncovered that some of the companions of the musicians had robbed one of her vaults. The musicians had almost skipped town, but not quickly enough. They found out that the wrath of the Mother of Storms could be quite terrifying indeed. Suddenly the moisture drained from their skin, the flesh pulled back over their lips and their eyes started to bulge out. In mere moments they were turned from living beings into fleshreavers, undead creatures with no eyes, no lips and forced to always move in rhythm. None since have dared steal from her.
