Láthatlan

Description

When Hávadall chose the first six Líkan, that also meant she passed over many who considered themselves worthy. One of these people was Lathár, a ferocious fighter and one of the first to swear allegiance to her. He felt insulted, betrayed, humiliated and a great many more things.   To prove his worth he set out to find power so that she would recognize him. There are a great many terrifying forces out there, and Lathár stumbled upon one of these. It promised him knowledge and power that would surpass even the Líkan, something sure to show Hávadall that he was worthy. Eagerly he brought the scroll containing the knowledge to Hávadall, but that is when everything went downhill.   The magic in the scroll reacted in her proximity and assaulted her mind, she quickly lashed out in self-defense. She cast out Lathár and cursed him so that he could never come near her again. But in her panic she had lashed out far too harshly and Lathár found himself scarred, deformed and wounded. He felt such anguish and defeat that he almost couldn't bear it. Eternally curious though, he set out to study the scroll.   Whatever it may have been, the esoteric knowledge within mingled with the curse that afflicted him and deformed him even further, far beyond anything that could be called even remotely human. And it settled in his mind. The defeat. The pain. The humiliation. The betrayal. But it was clear who had wronged him, who had caused his goddess to spurn him. The Líkan. They were the problem. They ought to suffer. And so they shall.

Intelligence and Behavior

As the now-deformed Láthatlan, he still retained some intelligence even if it was blinded by hatred. He made it his mission to find more who were so displeased, to hunt together. But few were ready to cut a deal with the thing he had become, yet hunt he would. Over the years he has killed many who showed some of the earliest signs of lycanthropy, and even a couple full Líkan. The first six may have long since died, but still he does not rest until all of the Wolf-Kin lie dead and buried. Insanity and hatred are but sources of motivation after all.
