The Founding Festival

A festival held by all of S.A.F.E. each year to celebrate the founding of their organisation.
All members of S.A.F.E. will take this as a day of rest, only working if absolutely necessary (such as tending to farm chores). In the afternoon, there's a commemorative feast that serves the favourite meals of each of the founding members. The members start preparing for the feast about 20 days in advance to get all of the necessary ingredients.

Model Castle

Some stone from the mountain is put aside each year just for the founding festival. All throughout the day, people will work in groups to build a miniature castle with the stone up until the sun starts setting. Once completed, everyone who wants to will get to join in on the destruction of this castle. There will normally be goblin and kobold decorations added to the castle to make it feel even more cathartic.

History

The festival began the year after the founding party was killed during the raid on the goblin city. It was meant as a way to commemorate the actions of that party, while looking toward the future of S.A.F.E. and all that it will accomplish.

The Feast

Flail Escargot: A whole flail snail is roasted in its shell and served with garlic and herbs. It's big enough that it can be a main course for four people.
Basilisk Bisque: A broth made from basilisk scales and filled with root vegetables and basilisk meat.
Shambling Salad: Leafy greens plucked from a shambling mound, along with other hearty and delicious vegetables.
Whole Roast Dire Boar: This animal is best cooked gloriously whole. Carve away the meat once cooked like kebab meat.
Lime Gelatenous Cube Salad: A dish made from the genetically modified and farmed Lime Gelatinous Cube. Consists of a whole Lime Gelatenous Cube stuffed with fresh fruit and topped with whipped cream.
