Avineste'

Avineste’ was considered to be the greatest champion of the Avistian race. It was widely regarded that she was the pinnacle of what the Avistian’s could be. This belief reached mythical status when she was, quite literally, hand picked by the gods to lead the defense of the home kingdom, and the armies of the alliance. Her natural charisma lead many to willingly, and happily, charge into the fires of war for her.   But, she was no typical general. No arm chair politician.   In most cases, when a battle broke out, her forces had to follow her. Not because of some threat or obligation, but because of the simply fact that she, each and every time, out paced most of them to the battlegrounds. Her natural athleticism and guile on the battlefield was a sight to behold. And, as the war waged on, the attacking forces would typically scatter and run when she hit the ground. Also, quite literally. For she was known to make a grand entrance by flying straight down from above, flipping over at the last moment, and hitting the ground with enough force to send out percussive waves around her, knocking to the ground many of the less stout among the opposing forces in her immediate vicinity. All without drawing her weapon.   She’d been blessed by the gods in multiple ways, and it showed on the battlefield. She’d zip around, throwing, hitting, and bashing other opponents with such speed most of the opposing forces couldn’t keep up with her. Thus, they’d learned to simply run once she arrived.   While she loved being a front line fighter, and using her many gifts to their fullest, she absolutely loathed the other aspects her position required. Namely: paperwork, and dealing with nobles and government officials. She delegated as much as she could to others, which earned her a reputation of being lazy among the upper echelons. Which was far from the truth. It was simply a matter of her hating their guts, and not caring enough to hide that fact.   Most of her most brilliant work would never see the light of day, and that was exactly how she’d planned it out. In secret hidden conference rooms with only a select few she’d set plans in motion that would help win the war. To help save the kingdom. And most of the methods involved as little fighting as possible. The complete opposite of what those that didn’t REALLY know her would expect from her.   When the war came to its climactic end, with no real winners walking away from the destruction in its wake, the opposing tribes began their final assault, an all or nothing attack, by targeting Avineste’ with WMDs. Magically enhanced weapons capable of terrible damage. On wide scales. Spies on the inside had confirmed her location, visiting her parents in her home town, and they seized their opportunity. The initial blasts were so strong that even the clouds parted ways for miles around.   However.   Records indicate that she had been seen afterwards, attempting to rally forces for a counter attack, after her home town was vaporized and while bombs were still falling, and being launched in retaliation, all over the allied nations. Not even the WMDs were strong enough, nor fast enough, to bring her down entirely.   The fighting was fierce, but short lived, as both sides continued fighting until they had run dry of blood to spill and weapons to fire. The former of which being the largest reason for the end of the war, as nearly all life on the surface was extinguished in the exchange.   It is unknown, to this day, the exact fate of the one considered The Greatest Among Avistians. The only thing historians can agree on, was that if she went down, she went down fighting.
