Pirus

Pirus is a massive and diverse world with many different species, nations, cultures and most of all problems. The world is still reeling from the last Great War and despite the Alliance's best efforts species-ism and factionalism are approaching levels of international concern. The Grand Dominion of Embra is chafing under allied occupation, the Eastern Sea Republics continue to harass the Ronobian Colonial Empire, and stirring unrest in the Greyland Border Territories continues to go unnoticed by the world at large. Unbeknownst to the people of the world they are about to face a threat that could set the very fabric of society alight and it will take the combined might of every sentient person to combat it.   This world is set in a time period that mimics our own second industrial revolution in terms of technology and political maneuvering. There are a dozen major species and magic is a key component to many of them. The supernatural is just considered another part of nature and the lands are rife with danger. As a result militarism and the ability to defend oneself are a key characteristic of many cultures.   The most dangerous area in this world is a continent spanning quarantine area referred to as the Grey. It is uninhabitable to most of the known world but that doesn't mean nobody resides within.
