Pigmena

A small world in the planes of D&D, in this small world there are few fully-fledged cities, and few continents separated by vast expanses of water. These cities are mostly run by republics made up of several guilds which exist for all manner of possible jobs, with Gods who guide them on their moralities and how they should live their lives.   This world is my basis for a living world where I can base campaigns out of with the basis of the world being based out of the New World era of Western Europe, with new discoveries and the search for new trade routes being one of the core tenants of one campaign along with some mixing in some of the enlightenment and changes with morality (and trying to take some opportunity to use the alignment system in an interesting fashion as a story telling device) as another key aspect of another current campaign.   This world has large gaps between very largely civilised cities that are very insular with little to no movement between each due to the hostility of the worlds natural wildlife, this has led to interesting decision making within each city and how they decide to run with most of these cities being city states as opposed to uniting into larger countries. There are also some smaller villages however these are scarce and life within them is particularly hard due to wildlife being difficult to repel, however if attacks from the wildlife do occur the villagers from within these will retreat to the interior of the larger cities they are mostly focused around, but the cost of such protection changes depending on the city the villages are close to.   There is a strong mix of different races in this world due to this centralization of the residents of this world, however, this is not always kind to all of the different races and some cities are wholly ruled by a single race with others given fewer rights.
