Personal history

Early Life

John Isom was born to a middle-class family in Athens, Georgia. He grew up idolizing his father, a soldier who fought in World War II, and dreamed of one day joining the military himself. He ended up getting his wish in 1960, when he was drafted to serve in the Vietnam War.

Project G.I.

After almost five years of exceptional service, John was promoted to the position of captain. Shortly before his 25th birthday, he was approached by his superiors in regards to becoming the world's very first super soldier. The test was a success, and John continued to bring victory to American forces, but the decreasing popularity of the war and his own psyche running ragged caused him to doubt whether or not his continued efforts were worth it.

Vigilante

Unable to take it any more, John Isom went AWOL in late 1966, stowing away back to the states. This prompted a massive manhunt on the government's part to bring him in. While on the run, he made a name for himself travelling the country, taking out any criminals he came across and helping anyone in need.

Disappearance

In early 1969, John took part in a battle against a murderous robot known only as Mandroid. The two did battle with John eventually leading him up north towards the Alaskan Coast, but both disappeared shortly thereafter, presumed dead after weeks of searching turned up nothing.
