As humanity progressed, technology became readily available to some, while others relied on magick and on religion. Those who chose science took to the skies. With their technology however came the demand for resources, such crystals to power their carriers, and cinnabar and copper for currency.   The Edorien Sovereignty, the first airborne empire, could choose any land for the taking. They could cross the sea of Mainyu, past the Kahlmwera Peninsula and conquer the desert kingdom of Aruzhdar. They could claim the savannahs of Palizh or invade Lauvria for her supply of fresh water. None of these caught the eye of the Imperator. The Sovereignty's heart was set on a forested and mountainous continent to the South which they called the Swarthland.
