Kwento Character in Phasmatum | World Anvil

Kwento

Kwento was a descendent of Chidera, the Bee Prophetess. Raised by his grandfather, Kwento became the keeper of the Archsword of Amadioha at only twenty-four. He spent most of his twenties studying the Myèl e Mòrd and fending off attacks from the monsters from the Grand Bois Woods.   A warrior-scholar, Kwento's commitment to eradicating darkness grew. And overtime, his interpretations of the Bee Prophetess lead him to believe that Sikel City was the cause of the increase in monsters. He believed that Chidera foretold of a great darkness in Sikel City. And that the leaders planned to destroy the city of Demoush a Myel. As this would be the only way to reunite the four clans -- with the White Ram Clan under subjugation.   His paranoia led him to ask for a meeting with the Council of Governers, under the auspices of their city re-joing Sikel City's fold. As Kwento pondered whether he should go through with his original intent, the Archsword glowed red. Taking that as a sign, Kwento believed them all to be guilty and struck down each member of the Council, before commanding his guards to lay siege to Sikel City. Declaring it a territory of Demoush a Myel and entreating its citizens to return to the light.   During his miltary campaign, Kwento won nearly every battle he was present for, as a result of the Archsword of Amadioha's power. The sword shone bright red in battle, indicating that there were those with evil intentions. It was only through that joint efforts of the other countries in the Ginen region that Sikel City did not fall.   In the end, Kwento brought about his down destruction. As well as the destruction of the White Ram Clan. When the joint efforts of Ginen joined to march on Demoush a Myel, Kwento led his forces through the Bee Gardens of Chidera. The bees swarmed, attacking him with a vigor never before seen. Kwento lost his grip on the sword when the ground started shaking. A great earthquake swallowed him and half of Demoush whole.   The Archsword of Amadioha was never recovered. And the short reign of Kwento came to an end.
