Finnstown

Land, oh!

The largest settlement on the fallen stars archipelago, Finnstown is a town mostly populated by pirates and fishermen, albeit one may be both at the same time. Originally founded as a pirate outpost, through the centuries has gradually expanded attracting like-minded people therefore it is mainly a den of anarchists, thugs and violent people, more interested in easy wealth than in a just society in which to spend their old age. Back in the past, the outpost didn't have a name and was only a small fort overlooking Rhum bay, placed on an embankment and protected by a palisade. In the present times. the town has expanded with a settled population over the four thousand people, although that only a part on the population that spend some part of the year in Finnstown. The name of the town comes from two large mummified finns, according to the legend belonging to some weird sea-monster, placed to decorate the archway connecting the harbour to the town center.

A secret well kept

The position of the town is a strongly guarded secret and every person that is allowed to set foot in the piers of the city, has to swear on the golden skull to never reveal the position of the town to the dry-bottoms. According to the legend that's the gold-plated skull of the founder, who was recovered by his second-in-command after getting hanged, on which a shaman casted a powerful curse. It is not very clear if anyone actually believes in the curse, but Amos Dark has spies everywhere who will not hesitate to put a dagger or a ball in the back of anyone in predicate to betray him.
