Burik

An exciting finding

The word of mouth travelled fast in the outskirts of Unazan Gazar, almost like a fever spreading from one to another one, bringing excitement to everyone that would hear about it. As the story goes, a sheperd trying to find some shadow to rest while observing his goats graze noticed a crevice in the rocks and, in the depths of it, could see a sort of archway. The chatter soon reached the keen ears of the famous explorer Lucas Almeyda who organized an expedition to explore the interior of this rediscovered area.

As I was lowered into the depths of the crevasse, the light of my torch made contact with a history hidden from view for millennia. A huge stone arch decorated in lapis lazuli and gold seemed to welcome me towards a road that was lost in the darkness.
— Lucas Almeyda, Excavation Diaries 2457

An underground abyss of wonders

Lucas, together with two younger colleagues, elected that it was fundamental to set a camp in the area before robbers could get into the area. The excavations lasted for nearly four months, documented carefully in the Excavation Diaries 2457,and produced a large number of findings. The most important of them are a living Cryotriton and the stone cube, studying which Lucas Almeyda has suddenly disappeared, called the magic cube of Burik.Unfortunately, the vanishing of Almeyda has put a significant interruption to the campaigns of digging, while the magic accident gets investigated by Be Chuille's Inquisition.
