The Great Union

Following The Sundering of the Void, Todra and Nifra had split into two equal and opposite halves of The Void, Todra being a complete saturation of energy and Nifra being a complete absence of energy. Having discovered these two forms of being, however, the Twin Gods desired to learn more. They saw that each was a different sort of void, one comprised of pure energy, the other comprised of a complete lack of energy, yet neither contained anything more than the simple essence of its own being.
Todra suggested they rejoin once more, yet Nifra objected, saying that if they returned to their original form, Nifra would cease to exist. Taking this into consideration, Todra and Nifra decided instead to merge their essences without sacrificing either. Todra and Nifra would each occupy the same space, each spreading itself thinly to allow the other to slip in between the cracks.
In this way, rather than being divided into two halves, one a complete saturation of energy and the other a complete absence of energy, Todra and Nifra combined themselves, each sliding into the other, allowing Tofra's energy to disperse into Nifra's emptiness. This combination became known as the Great Union, which led to The Conflagration.
