Earth

After The Dawn of Humanity, when the first Humans began to arrive in Periva, they brought with them stories of Earth, the land of their origin. Before this, none in Periva had ever heard of the land called Earth. No records existed of such a land, yet each Human who arrived in the early days of Periva claimed Earth as their first home. Each of these Humans claimed to have been transported to Periva after they had died on Earth, which has led many scholars to conclude that Earth exists in some alternate plane of reality from Periva, and that these early Humans were somehow transported to our world after dying in theirs.
What really stood out about these humans from Earth was their ability to recall their prior lives with such clarity. None of the other denizens of Periva at the time were capable of such recollection, yet it was quite common among the earliest humans. Since that time, we have come to recognize that this is the result of the humans being the earliest carriers of The Awakened, the symbiotic spirits that inhabit the bodies of others, merging their minds and memories with their host. The Awakened appear to have originated with these humans as they arrived in Periva, and have spread throughout the world. Many believe these symbionts originally came from Earth along with the humans, and have since dispersed among all the races of Periva. This has led many to wonder what other forms of life might have come from Earth, and whether such intangible, spiritual life forms were common in that world. Unfortunately, aside from the personal accounts of the first humans, there exists no other information regarding the land of Earth.
