Can Rocks Be Hills?

At the far edges of Perillel lies a rather large asteroid, upon which a not-so-secret bar is built, despite the Prohibition. Because there is no hangars for ships, the bar can only be accessed with a space suit. The structure is 120 feet across and 80 feet at its widest point. Windows are situated in every third panel of wall and are covered in a reflective material that makes the glass appear opaque and orange. Gravity in the bar is significantly reduced; the recoil of drinking a shot and slamming the glass is enough to lift patrons off their feet. small metal half-circle brackets have been attached to the floor around the bar counter and underneath the tables. The rules of the bar are written in chalk on a small board and hung the wall to the left a portrait of a young man. To the right of the portrait hangs another board labelled at the top "King's Rules".

Bar Rules

  1. Bounty Hunters Only
  2. Obey the King
  3. Don't talk about Grady
  4. No guns
  5. No boots on the ceiling

King's Rules

Current King: Dax

  1. King calls the shots
  2. Winners toast to the king
  3. Ladies go first
  4. Failure to follow will lead to grogging

Glory to the King

The first question most newbie bounty hunters ask when they first step on the Hill is "who is Grady?", and they are quickly pointed towards the rules. The second question they ask is "who is the King?". The answer is more complex than just a name, and so new hunters are introduced to King of the Hill.

Grady Bare

The owner of Grady's Hill, Matt Bare, built the bar in 2321 at the wishes of his son, who had always told him he thought it would be fun to run a bar. As far as bounty hunters are concerned, Grady was the best of the best. His acheivements and charming personality led to a cult-like following from fellow hunters who saw him as a hero. Grady's death in 2320 seemed surreal for most who knew him, but Matt had suffered loss before. Most hunters respect Matt enough to not ask why he opened the bar at the edge of the system, but most suspect Matt was tired of hearing people talk about Grady. A single portrait hanging next to the bar rules is enough reminder.
