Nauvinlead humans (species)
Long ago, humans touched space for the first time, and the cosmos was within their grasp. They sent out into the universe information of themselves, a sign to the universe that an intelligent species had developed to scientific literacy, and had joined the cosmos at large.
Soon, humans would chase after the artifacts and symbols they launched out into space, flying forever in the wake of their earliest forays. One such expedition would land farther afield than any other, light years from anything of importance according to the ship's navigation computer, on a distant Earth-like world discovered by telescope.
The ship would be forgotten in time, the people left to stumble backward into the darkness of primitive times, but all the time changing, evolving, adapting to the harsh disconnected life they led. They developed slightly distinct skeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.
