Cutter refuses to hire anyone on to his 'business', meaning that anyone wishing to ride with him or ship things through him must deal with him directly.
To sum up Cutter, he refuses to explain whether his name is a nickname, a real name, or a job title, and he seems like he has committed any crime he has ever been accused of.
Cutter is the personal chauffeur of Yildizsiz, one of the infamous Vectors of the Technomancer empire.

Personal history

Cutter came from a civilization locked in a generations-long civil war. The war and those who fought in it were glorified, and Cutter was among the most honored of all. A skilled tactician, marksman, and soldier, Cutter soon rose to celebrity status among his side and earned great fear from his foes.
Cutter, however, was deeply unsatisfied with his existence and resented the war that he saw as pointless and barbaric. He made a deal in secret with a like-minded enemy commander, faking both of their deaths in an apparent standoff and disappearing from the war.
Cutter began running errands as part of a selection of odd jobs and fell in love with the opportunities the job provided him to meet new people and see new locales. He developed his business into a small empire, earning renown as a trustworthy and reliable contractor for the law and fugitives alike.
