Atomic phasing

Atomic phasing is a natural consequence of the electromagnetic force and dictates how electron orbitals can be manipulated while retaining molecular bonds. In essence, it allows the size of all orbitals of an atom to be shrunk significantly, with up to 61.8% of a given atom's volume being reduced as the phasing effect approaches infinity.

Atomic phasing can be applied in a number of dimensions, and does not necessarily need to be uniform. Atomic phasing requires energy input to maintain. The energy applied is in the form of a field of photons acting as electromagnetic force carriers.

Atomic phasing was discovered by the engineer and scientist Aoruk. Due to Aoruk's affiliation with the Technomancer Empire, the results were suppressed instead of published. As a result, there is no scientific standardization to understand atompic phasing.
