In the War of Hammer and Anvil the forces of Chaos and Order were banished. The price to hold them at bay was the Breaking of the World. A catacylsm millennia in the past. Since that time the weave, the source of magic on Pelinar, has slowly dwindled. The world has become more mundane. For most, life is good if somewhat plain. Little lives for little people. Quiet, peace, and comfort reign.
But it isn't all warm hearthfires and full bellied children. In the quiet places of the world a careful listener can hear it. The echos of hammer blows carried through rock.
