Pax Galactica
II--VIII--MMMCLXXV
Where Late Antiquity meets Raygun-Gothic... this is Pax Galactica.
The project is inspired by the fall of the Roman Empire; barbarian attacks, the Hunnic invasion, and internal strife provide the backdrop. Meanwhile, it's aesthetically inspired by early 20th-Century sci-fi, giving it a retro-futuristic flavor.
The Astrus Empire is on its last legs. Rival Legates jockey for power as the Emperor dances to the tune of a Martian commander. Long-oppressed alien species have begun to rise up, and outside threats are closing in rapidly.
Fleets of war rockets engage flying saucers as speeder-mounted aliens shoot rayguns at charging legionaries. Hardlight shieldwalls move towards each other, electro-spears and laser swords jutting outward. Disintegrator rays collide with freeze rays. It's absolute madness!
