Personal history
Mariellis is the late husband of Sildasa Paka. He was a soldier through and through, growing up in the city of Trieste. He joined the military as soon as possible, training to be a paladin of Altamere. When Sildasa retired, he stayed and worked his way up the ranks until he was promoted to the position of admiral. He chose to stay on the battlefield though because he hated the thought of being cooped up in an office with paperwork.
He died of natural causes and in the comfort of his own bed at the age of 75. He was buried in Florence's military cemetery so he could be with his squad who had all passed before him.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Mariellis always wanted to do the right thing. Rules existed for a reason and he intended to follow them no matter what the consequences were. The law kept people in line and those that fell through the cracks weren't his problem. In his older years, he started to question the laws he lived by for so long and his faith in the gods became shaky. This attitude persisted until the day he died, so he never found a satisfactory answer.
