Kronia Academy for Hunters
A flyer had been passed around the United Lands of Caelsimil Teme-Rasadar for many years. It reads,
"The world is full of monsters, but you can help. Kronia Academy of Hunters is looking for new pupils. If you are interested in protecting your communities and fighting corruption, you are invited to join us. You will be given proper training with weapons of your choice and educated on beasts of all varieties, both magical and otherworldly.
By accepting this invitation, you are acknowledging that monster hunting may lead to unforeseen events such as serious injury, torture, and even death. If the hunt still calls to you, join us a hundred miles west of Trieste, down on Dewberry Road leading to Atrani.".
Atrani was a small logging town decades ago, but after the townsfolk chased a hag out and eventually killed her, it was later attacked by a witchfire. The witchfire was the hag reborn into a creature hell-bent on revenge. Those who didn't flee were killed and Atrani was left to fall into disrepair. Decades after her rampage, the witchfire was slain by Jordeira Ferus after she terrorized a neighboring village. With her finally gone for good, Jordeira decided to fix up the town and Atrani is now Necropolis.
The Kronia Academy for Hunters is a few miles away from Necropolis and students aren't allowed to visit the town until they've overcome their prejudice against undead. Those who fail to do so are expelled from the academy out of fear that they'll use their new skills to attack Necropolis.
