Paron lies in plague and ashes. The land has been destroyed and deformed by the Winged Knights, righteous avengers of a fallen world.   The miasmas of necrotic magic and billowing flames of their assault has driven sunlight from memory, and the surviving creatures of the wastelands have been twisted into countless demonic terrors.   The Inheritor Lord's devilish outriders, terrifying warriors and mages of unimaginable might, roam the land hunting these natural demons, and searching for the Old Gifts, artifacts of power given to Manus by the ancient druids. In the fury and wrath of the Winged Knights' storm of vengeance, the Old Gifts were scattered and lost to the ages.   Manus, the first god of Paron, is the ancient ancestor of humanity. For their shameful heritage, humans have been branded with the dark sigil, marking their perpetual undeath. Those unfortunate enough to claim humanity are corralled to the north and locked away in the asylum, to await the the end of the world.   You are Human. You are undead.
