Penumbra's Got Problems!

We truly are who we are, in the Dark
Away from painted masks and prying eyes
Bare with ourselves in loathing or contentment
Exposing our true natures to the comfort of shadows
Who we can trust not to turn their backs on us
- Collins

Session Highlights
Penumbra learns of a woman, named "Lucy", who has been entrusted to look after her daughter, Kathryn. After Lucy and her daughter head towards the train station, Penumbra shadows her ex-husband into his condo. Penumbra tails him to his condo floor and attempts to start a conversation, after her Ex enters the condo's front door.
After a moment, the door explodes outward, littering the hallway with smoke and debris. Penumbra rushes into the condo and sees her Ex suited up in his Sky Raiders Battle-suit, flying into the distance. Surveying the damage to the condo and hearing the closing wail of the first-responder sirens, Penumbra eyes a calendar on the wall, with Lucy's info scribbled on the margin.

"Pick up Kat from Lucy in 1 week."

After navigating through the growing crowd of gawkers and Paragon's Finest, Penumbra hesitated as the now familiar, but still unsettling whispers begin to echo in her mind, as they did almost every day. Rubbing her temples she walked away.

It was another Friday and Dr. Adam Angle had just finished his lecture on Differential Equations. His students were quickly filing out of Newton Hall, placing their homework into a haphazard pile on Angle's desk.

The lecture hall doors closed softly as the last student left. Angle let out a low sigh. Finally- a few moments of calm. Suddenly, the overhead projector whirred to life, clicking and humming. As Angle looked up from his paperwork, he saw a form begin to materialize in the flickering light of the projector beam. It was Baron Zoria!

Angle stood and walked calmly towards Baron's image. Zoria smiled, sitting in his usual wide-backed chair, legs crossed and arms folded. "Good evening, Doctor."

What then took place was an example of two radiant intellects in another mental bout- one cogent and the other guileful. Two strategists on a battlefield of mental feints and parries.

As the image of Baron Zoria flickered out of existence, Angle turned towards his desk, brow furrowed. Sitting on his desk, was a shiny apple- an arcane symbol was seared into its surface. Examining the apple, Baron Zoria's final words of warning echoed in his mind: "The equilibrium of Order and Chaos are out of alignment and Paragon City is the crux of this imbalance. Watch the Shadows."
