The Healing Oasis of Lefferington
"Deep in the southern Lefferington steppe lies a hollow. In this hollow lies a place beyond belief, a oasis of verdant beauty."The Healing Oasis of Lefferington is a place rife with naturally occurring growth and spirit magic. This magic has lead to a lush jungle hidden within the grotto, home to many unique flora and fauna. It is said to have been formed by Tolnavik's Fall. The oasis itself consists of a small lake, fed by a subterranean spring. The area around it is of soft sand, which is then surrounded by increasingly dense jungle. There is one path leading down into the hollow, with the rest surrounded by cliffs which gently slope inwards. There is also an unknown number of tunnels which lead into the Below. Over the years, many have made the pilgrimage to the oasis. So much so that a hut has been built near the water's edge for visitors. Though excellent for healing, it is recommend that visitors leave or seek shelter within the hut after dark, due to the grotto's many unique flora and fauna. Though many have tried, the water of the oasis seems to lose all magical properties when removed from the cavern, much to the disappointment of many a merchant or healer. Fortunately, many of the more dangerous residents of the oasis are capable of being refined into growth thaumic essences, which have seen many uses in alchemy. Among these, the wild Sapbeast is known to contain enough thaumic energy to create a Savant artifact.
