Arcane

Arcanomorphs (AKA Thaumic Entities)

Forms of magic incarnate, typically somewhat humanoid. They are more common near large settlements as—though unknown to most—they are made from belief, the natural spirit thaumic energy of individuals manifesting their fears. As such, they exist as forms of aggregated thaumic energy.

Spellforms

Arcanomorphs which exist in a looser sense, and are barely physical. Additionally, they are capable of possessing corpses, including those of forged creatures.   Shadowform: A form of spellform. Living shadows which hide from sight before preying on their victims, they are known to stalk the woods at night. They are rarely seen before it is too late, and even then often linger on the edges of one’s vision. Shadowforms have the ability to temporarily appear as another form, though the same shadowy appearance, such as a black dog or other such creature of similar size. This effect disappears if one attempts to look directly at it.

Shade (AKA Vessel, AKA Dark Savant, AKA Fallen)

The unfortunate remains of those who failed a bonding to a thaumic entity. The entity now has control of the body, as well as their original magic, allowing for a dangerous equivalent to a Savant. They can also be created if someone attempts to bond to a dead Savant’s weapon and the previous wielder has not yet given up on life, and attempts to take control the same way another thaumic entity would.
  • Sub-Category: Infused
Channeled: A form of Shade, and a dark counterpart to Channelers.
  • Storm Channeled: Its eyes glow with the light of a storm, and its whole body crackles with electricity.
  • Shadow Channeled: Its eyes are blacker than the darkest night, and its body seems to fade into shadows around it, even darkening light shone upon it.
  • Frost Channeled: Its body is frozen under a bulky layer of spiked ice. This layer is resistant to most forms of attack.
  • Earth Channeled: Its body is completely obscured by massive armor of earth and stone. The strongest form of Channeled, its earthen body towers over common people.
  • Flame Channeled: Its body is wreathed in flames, and its eyes are lit with white fire.
  • Spirit Channeled (AKA Vampire): They feed off of blood, growing stronger from it. Their skin practically bulges with magic and blood.

  • Frost Zealot: Its body is wreathed in mist, cloaking its form.

Evoker (AKA Banshee, AKA Siren): A form of Shade, and a dark counterpart to Minstrels.

Wielded: A form of Shade, and a dark counterpart to Armsmasters. Some hold onto their blade as it guides them, while others are simply puppeteered by the blade embedded in their own flesh.
  • Frost Wielded: Its body is coated in a layer of ice, making it oddly agile.
Beholder (AKA Observer): A form of Shade, and a dark counterpart to Seers. They do not control their perception, instead their perception controls them. As such, Seers are heavily influenced by their environments.

Servitors

Beings formed of materials infused with magic by a Savant or Runescribe. Similar to necromancy, though with far more mundane materials, and a deal harder to create. Though some consider them a form of golem, they are not mechanical, can be better instructed, and are, rather unfortunately, temporary and bound to the will of their creator.
  • Earth Servitor:
  • Hay Servitor: A living figure composed of hay. If made from sacks of hay, it loses its bludgeoning weakness.
  • Stone Servitor:
  • Ice Servitor:

Its skull becomes larger, its teeth sharper, and it forms additional eye sockets for every wisp it’s bonded too. The greatest amount seen was “Vranük the Vindictive”, with 8 eyes. The personality of the wisps directly correlates to the personality of the Wisperer, and the colors can be mixed. They’re quite rare, and live in isolated caves, often in swamps. They can send out wisps as scouts, or to lure in prey & unwary travelers.

Great collection of very creative and interesting magical entities. I like the background magical theory and supernatural history for them.
